Harper’s Harpings – I’ve published a book, now what’s next?

What do I write next?  Do you ever have that issue if you are a writer?  Or if you are a reader, do you know what you want your favourite authors to write next?

Sometimes an author can be in the fortunate position to have a few works in progress.  I am in that position now.  I have seven pieces on the go, none are finished, so which route do I choose?  I know the route I want to go down and that is the story I haven’t even started. I have three novels in first draft stage, two anthologies half written not even at first draft stage, one story written at the planning stages and the other is in my head.

I have another, it’s buzzing round my head and I am desperate to write it but then I will have eight on the go and I think that would be foolish.

Or would it?

Who knows? I certainly don’t, it’s all new to me.  Which character do I bring to life next, they are swirling around my head.  Shouting and yelling their daily routine to me.  I wish I could hush them up for a short while but that won’t happen.  Well they had better not, I’m not ready for writer’s block.

Which route, well, I’ll see where my fingers take me.

Thanks for reading

Grace

Harper’s Motto: You will not be everybody’s favourite flavour, but that’s ok, because they will not always be your favourite flavour.   Be who you want to be and you will attract the people who will support you no matter what.

Grace Harper is a British author who loves to write about strong women and the friends and lovers who make them stronger. She adores writing steamy scenes of first encounters and there is always a little twist along the way. When Grace is not writing, she can be found mooching about in stationery stores, dreaming up tattoo designs or teasing her friends until everyone is in fits of giggles. Grace might have a Maltesers addiction but is not ready to stand up and own that just yet. If you want to get in touch, please do, Grace is pretty laid back and friendly.
