What do I write next? Do you ever have that issue if you are a writer? Or if you are a reader, do you know what you want your favourite authors to write next?
Sometimes an author can be in the fortunate position to have a few works in progress. I am in that position now. I have seven pieces on the go, none are finished, so which route do I choose? I know the route I want to go down and that is the story I haven’t even started. I have three novels in first draft stage, two anthologies half written not even at first draft stage, one story written at the planning stages and the other is in my head.
I have another, it’s buzzing round my head and I am desperate to write it but then I will have eight on the go and I think that would be foolish.
Or would it?
Who knows? I certainly don’t, it’s all new to me. Which character do I bring to life next, they are swirling around my head. Shouting and yelling their daily routine to me. I wish I could hush them up for a short while but that won’t happen. Well they had better not, I’m not ready for writer’s block.
Which route, well, I’ll see where my fingers take me.
Thanks for reading
